My stay at Hiawatha Manor was a mixed experience. The staff was friendly and provided a lot of helpful information upon check-in, but the unit itself was lacking in cleanliness and comfort. While the bathrooms were spacious, I dealt with several issues that detracted from my overall enjoyment.
Rooms
5.0
The unit felt outdated, and I encountered ants everywhere. plus the mattress was uncomfortable without a proper pad. There was dust and a mildew smell, making it hard to relax.
Service
8.0
I really appreciated the front desk lady who provided great local information and answered all my questions. She definitely added a positive touch to my stay.
Location
7.0
The resort is a bit remote, requiring some driving to reach attractions. but it felt good to be on vacation away from the hustle.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the fresh coffee available, which was a nice perk. even if there weren't many dining options on-site.
Facilities
5.0
The common areas could definitely use a thorough cleaning. but at least they offered laundry facilities accessible from the office.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at Hiawatha Manor. The clean unit and friendly staff stood out, but there were definitely a few maintenance issues that needed addressing. While the location near the golf course and state parks is fantastic for outdoor enthusiasts, the accommodations themselves left something to be desired.
Rooms
6.0
My unit was clean upon arrival, but I noticed several maintenance issues, like the dated bathrooms and mismatched kitchen utensils. The pull-out couch was in bad shape, with squirrels having made a mess of it. I found the beds comfortable, but I was disappointed by the lack of basic kitchenware.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and responsive, jumping in to fix the toilet and deal with bugs quickly. However, there were instances where they left messes behind after maintenance tasks, which was frustrating.
Location
8.0
The resort is set against a beautiful golf course, and the nearby state parks offer great hiking options. Plus, there's a good size community nearby with shopping, including a Walmart, which made it convenient.
Dining
7.0
I didn't get to enjoy on-site dining, but there were good eating options within driving distance, including several restaurants in Crossville. I appreciated having various dining choices available outside the resort.
Facilities
6.0
The resort features a pool and a miniature golf course, but certain areas needed cleaning. The swimming pool looked inviting, but I didn't get a chance to use it during my stay.

The location was perfect, allowing easy access to various attractions in Tennessee. I appreciated the peaceful balcony views each morning. However, the overall condition of some areas felt lacking, which impacted my experience.
Rooms

While the balcony views were lovely, I encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance. I found the pull-out couch mattress in poor condition, which was disappointing.
Service
6.0
The staff were eager to assist and provided good care during my stay. but I felt their efforts were sometimes hampered by the facilities' maintenance issues.
Location

Located centrally in Tennessee, it made exploring various attractions easy. and the surrounding golf courses were a hit with my husband.
Dining

I enjoyed some delicious meals, especially the organic chicken. but I wished for more dining options nearby.
Facilities

The resort offered basic amenities like laundry, yet there were noticeable gaps in upkeep. which detracted from the overall experience.

My experience at Hiawatha Manor at Lake Tansi had its ups and downs. I loved the golf course views from my unit, but the outdated features and maintenance issues really brought my stay down. Overall, while there were highlights, I wouldn't say it was on par with other resorts I've stayed at.
Rooms
5.0
The layout of the unit was great, and I enjoyed the views of the golf course. However, the outdated kitchen and bath took away from the experience.
Service
5.0
I had to deal with some maintenance issues during my stay, like a TV that didn't work. And the response time for service could've been better.
Location
6.0
The resort is split into two campuses, which could be inconvenient if you're far from the main area. Still, it was nice having a golf course right outside my window.
Dining
5.0
I didn't get to try any dining options during my visit, but I enjoyed some homemade meals in my unit. Still, it felt like something was missing in the dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
I appreciated the general facilities, but needing to exchange linens at the main campus on limited days was a hassle. Also, having to go to a laundromat for towels wasn't ideal.

I had a decent time at Hiawatha Manor, but it wasn't without its issues. The place felt a bit outdated, and unfortunately, there were bugs creeping around, which made my stay less comfortable. On the bright side, the amenities like the indoor/outdoor pool and putt-putt really kept things fun.
Rooms
5.0
The unit was not very clean, with ants and a bad smell lingering around, making it hard to relax.
Service
6.0
Staff were kind, but it didn't compensate for the overall cleanliness issues.
Location
6.0
The location was decent with nearby dining options, but I can't say I would want to return given the accommodations.
Dining
6.0
While there are reasonable dining options close by, the state of the unit just overshadowed that aspect.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities like the indoor pool and games were enjoyable, but the issues in the unit were a huge letdown.
